[/caption]Betty Friedan nació y murió el mismo día, un 4 de Febrero, pero con 85 años de diferencia. Nació en 1921 y nos dejó en el 2006.
Fue una de las más altas representantes de la lucha feminista en la América de los años 60 y posteriores. En 1963 publicó un trabajo muy interesante: La mística de la feminidad. Luchó por la igualdad real y efectiva entre los sexos, más allá de roles y demás.
Me gustaría hacerle un humilde homenaje desde aquí.
Podéis leer su obra, os la recomiendo fervientemente. En muchas bibliotecas y librerías tienen libros de ella, y si no los tienen, seguro que podéis pedirlos.

Betty Friedan es una gran intelectual, que luchó por la igualdad efectiva y real entre hombres y mujeres, hablando de la oportunidad de ser verdaderos compañeros de viaje en esta aventura que es la vida, y no dejándose llevar por prejuicios sexistas. Los hombres (aunque ya se van transformando) tienen un largo camino que recorrer todavía (tal como ella dice en el vídeo). Gracias por compartirlo.
